Precision, reliability and perfect integration
Romsey, UK – B&G, the world’s leading sailing navigation and instrument specialist, is pleased to announce that it is the electronics supplier to Italia Yachts and will feature on the Italia 15.98 for the first time at the Boot in Dusseldorf in January 2017.
The Italia 15.98 will be equipped with some of the latest B&G marine electronics available including the Triton2 and award winning Zeus2 multifunction chartplotter with SailSteer software.
“Italia Yachts are very happy to work with B&G as our business philosophy has been focused on fitting its boats with only the best equipment and custom solutions designed with service providers at a worldwide level.” Said Marco Schiavuta from Italia Yachts adding “The electronics, provided by B&G are an obvious choice for the 15.98 which was nominated for boat of the year in 2015.”
The Italia 15.98 brings to life the tradition of big oceanic fast cruisers and hydrodynamic hull design. Developed for long cruises, the Italia 15.98 combines performances, comfort and timeless style, offering safe navigation in all conditions. The B&G electronics perfectly suit the need of serious sailors. B&G products are designed and tested according to the strictest criteria and have been used by professional sailors across the world. In 2017/18 they continue to be the official electronics supplier to the world renowned Volvo Ocean Race.
Leif Ottosson, CEO Navico, said: “B&G is very proud of the collaboration with Italia Yachts and will continue to work with them to provide the best equipment available in the sailing sector.”
The Italia 15.98 Yachts design team was led by Matteo Polli in collaboration with yacht designer Tommaso Spadolini. The result is a complete and all round boat with an elegant layout. The B&G Zeus2 displays can be flush mounted which allows the yacht designers to have a clean design, with straight lines where the big displays perfectly fit in to the dashboard. This combining with the leading edge technology, with clear and easy-to-use graphic interfaces makes it simple to use even for less experienced sailors.
