Sailuniverse: The new Life of Italia 15.98: three Cabins are much Better than Four
Last year we saw the 4-cabin version of the Italia 15.98: now, at Dusseldorf Boat Show, the italian yard presents the 3-cabin version. A version that we like much more: spaces are balanced and suitable for comfortable cruising.
Italia 15.98 can be considered a “true Bluewater” yacht. The main purpose of the project of the Italia Yachts design team headed by Matteo Polli, in cooperation with the designer Tommaso Spadolini, is to obtain a complete and all-round boat, with fast cruiser’s performance and an oceanic behavior at sea.
Various different layouts are available, some of them with a large aft owner’s cabin. The different layouts range from two to five cabins, including the ones with bow crew cabin complete with sink and wc. The styling, clean and linear, is based on coated surfaces in natural teak supplied as standard, alternating with white lacquered parts, in order to ensure optimum brightness while maintaining a warm and cousy atmosphere.
The detailed elements include the use of polished steel. Numerous handholders and the spaces between the furniture, never too large, together with the total absence of sharp edges, allow to move in total safety even in navigation with high heeling angles. In addition to the twelve different layouts, the shipyard allows customizations of furniture, materials and finishes.
